- I love Jesus Christ with all my heart. For reasons that I will never understand, He died to save me from my sins. I love Him because He first loved me. He says in Matthew 25:40 that He is "the least of these." He is the orphan and the widow and the poor and the hungry. I love Him and want to serve Him through serving the least.I have 8 siblings; 2 biological, 5 adopted, and one "unofficially adopted". Adoption has opened my eyes and changed my heart forever. I have a new passion and what I have seen has broken me and changed my heart. This started out as a journal of my trip to Ethiopia to bring home my 3 newest siblings but it has turned into much more. God has started me and my family on a whole new journey and it's crazy, exciting, hard and just plain God. Since we started adopting 6 years ago, God has taken me to Africa, China and Guatemala to care for and visit orphans. God has taught me so much through serving them and getting to know them and I hope to be able to give as much to them as they have to me.

Great video, Ellie!! I loved it!! The video at the end was so cute- how adorable!!!! Yes, I have heard of Hope Healing Home. I have never been there, but I definitely want to someday! I like to go through their website and look at the kids. :) Is that where the video at the end was taken? Also, I loved your last statement as it is so true! That is exactly how I felt after visiting a few foster homes and the orphanage!

Enjoy your blog but wish you would write more! I am Mom to 3 girls born in China. This March my 12 year old and I volunteered at a foster home in Xian and next year I am taking my 2 eleven year olds to Hope. Any advice or suggestions for us? I was there for our last adoption 7 years ago and they have grown!

Hi Ellie,
I just thought I'd pop in and say hi. I found your blog through a family friend who's adopting through AWAA. It's so encouraging to find another teen who has a heart for adoption. That is definitely the burden that God has laid on my heart. Keep pressing on for Him. Together maybe our generation can rise up to help these precious children!
